December 6th will be the last date for dropping off your gently used clothes, toys, baby equipment, homeware etc until January 10th. Many thanks for your support.
We are deeply grateful for your donations of funding to support Doorstep’s continued existence, which is wholly reliant on private donations and charitable grants, following our loss of public funding. We are pleased to accept donations on Charity Choice.
We also welcome donations of goods for our users at the Doorstep premises.
When: Wednesdays, 10:30am – 3:00pm
Where: 9a Broadhurst Gardens, London NW6 3QX
What: The families are in need of gently used adult and children’s clothing, books, toys, baby equipment, household items, bedding, food, small, functioning electrical appliances and laptops, for example.
Please contact Vicky Fox if you have a special donation or would like to enquire about volunteering.
Doorstep is pleased to announce that we are recruiting new trustees to join our 8-strong team from a wide range of backgrounds and experience – be it marketing, or fundraising or other skills relevant to our expansion plans for the future. We are a hands-on local charity offering practical solutions to support the 250 people it works with yearly, providing after-school care for children, outings and special activities for children during school holidays, free laundry facilities and educational opportunities for adults seeking to re-enter the job market. The trustees meet every 6 weeks (with a recess in the summer and at yearend) at Doorstep’s premises to discuss strategy and implementation and there is room to define your role according to your specific skills and the needs of the organisation.
For further information and to discuss the role, please contact Stuart Wollach, Chair of Doorstep on firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do pass this on to any friends or contacts who might be interested in the opportunity
Thank you, sincerely.
